The Podcast Pal

Give your Students a Voice That Reaches Across Continents. The Podcast Pal isn't just another school project—it's where your students become global citizens.

Imagine your Year 8s recording questions for students in Ghana. Your Year 10s discovering they share the same dreams as teenagers in Poland. Your quietest student finding their confidence behind the microphone, knowing someone halfway across the world is genuinely listening.

This is podcasting with purpose. This is cultural capital in action.

Podcaster

How does it work?

The first step is to build a Podcast within your school  (If you don’t yet have one already).  you You will need to establish at least 2 presenters to start off your Podcast and a recording device (i.e.a modern phone) to record the episodes. To join, you do not need fancy equipment, you just need the willingness and enthusiasm from your students. There is a back team of editors to support the content and ensure it is polished and professional - before it is released.

The next step is to decide on our curriculum Podcast Plan. As part of the service which we offer, there is a Podcast Curriculum which is designed to support your school. There are prompting questions, features and creative fun activities. Your Podcast Curriculum will be customised for your school - i.e.  Podcast age  and also topic alignment with your schools current termly focus areas.

Your school will be paired up with an International school through a safe vetting process . An agreement is made between schools to ensure safeguarding protocols are established. Our team at Time for Class, manage all Podcast content through our editing process, (before distribution) and all content remains approved by a DSL in your school before the episodes and shared and securely contained within each school.

Celebrating Differences

How fortunate are we to live in a connected world, where we have the ability to use technology to learn more and connect to each other. For example, you may live in a tiny Village in the United Kingdom, yet still have the ability to connect with someone millions of miles away - within milliseconds.

The Podcast Pal, is an amazing way to increase students cultural capital and encourage young people to learn more about other countries and cultures.
